The emblem-ruling is unconstitutional

The part of Minister of Home Affairs Mónika Lamperth’s decree which regulates the size of the political parties logos at the local elections it is unconstitutional therefore the Constitutional Court nullifies it. János Áder, leader of the Fidesz fraction reckons: election-fraud happened therefore Mónika Lamperth should resign. The decision of the Court has no retroactive scope.
The questionable part of the decree stipulates that the nominating organization’s emblem has to fit into a 20 mm circle. This part goes against the constitutional hierarchy of lawmaking – concluded the Court.
János Áder emphasized: since 1990 there was no such case whereby the Minister of Home Affairs had to be condemned for election fraud by the Constitutional Court.
