Wooden cross demolished at Moszkva square

Unknown perpetrators demolished a 5 meter high wooden cross at the Moszkva square subway station entrance on Saturday to Sunday night. The cross raised by the Association of Young Hungarians was first broken in 2 then taken apart into pieces. The inscription “Merry Christmas Christian Hungary! ” was thorn, candles broken and pine branches scattered all over the place.
The Association of Young Hungarians has reset the Merry Christmas banner and the revisionist posters ripped off prior to cross-demolishing. The master carpenter who arrived the third day in the morning was staggered to find the cross restored by somebody overnight. According to an employee of the nearby 24 Hour buffet some youngsters broke the cross and scattered the pieces. There is a witness as well that a colored sticker was found on the premises: “CONSCRIPTS FALL OUT! SZDSZ GUARANTIES IT.”
It is staggering that blaspheming of Hungarian national and Christian symbols can take place at such a central site watched with police cameras. Especially that only two days prior I reported a small scale damage done to the cross. It’s beyond my comprehension that the police does not even answer to any of my two reports says Előd Novák from the Association of Young Hungarians.
