No need to investigate the business of the skating ring in front of the Parliament building concluded László Keller. The State Secretary responsible for auditing the spending of public monies was called upon by Tamás Deutsch to investigate the matter. The Fidesz Vice-President claimed that the ice making equipment was rented from an Austrian company through interpolation of a middleman company owned by a socialist businessman rather than renting it cheaper directly from the Austrian Company. According to the former Sportsminister the rental of the equipment for 10 days cost 50 million HUF and the Austrians would have sold it for a total of 70 million HUF.
Keller declared to MTI: „One cannot start an investigation on every 5-10 million HUF that Tamás Deutsch snorts on”. The State Secretary referred to the fact that the Prime Minister’s Office advertised a tender for the skating ring therefore there is no need for investigation. According to Keller Deutsch was late with his calling.
